We provide a comprehensive, patient-centred, easy to access back and neck pain assessment.

 

There is no charge for this.

 

If we feel we can treat you, then we shall let you know what will be involved and the likely cost. If there is a more economical and effective way of achieving the same result, then we shall let you know.

 

  • We understand and care for your spine and have done so for over 40 years.  G Méal qualified in 1970 and started the Christchurch Chiropractic Centre in 1974.


  • We know there are many forms of back and neck pain and constantly keep up to date with new knowledge and developments about spine problems.


  • We advise on the best kind of treatment for your back and neck problems, exercises and prevention and are fully aware of other resources locally and within the NHS in particular.


  • We take care of most forms of back and neck pain. We place a strong emphasis on patient education and self-management and promote active lifestyles to reduce recurrences. However, if you need examinations such as x-rays or a different kind of treatment, then we refer you to your GP with a letter detailing what we recommend and why.



Our aim is to give you all the options and the best advice about improving your problem. You can then make the best choice for achieving the best result in the quickest and most satisfactory way without pressure. We shall do our utmost to help you achieve your goal by co-operating fully with your GP and other NHS resources.

The centre offers a full chiropractic service and reflexology. We have emergency cover at weekends and holidays and we do home visits if necessary. We are providers of chiropractic services for major Private Health Insurance companies such as BUPA, PPP, WPA, HSA, etc.

How can I find out if the Christchurch Chiropractic Centre can help me?

Do not hesitate to contact us during office hours on 01202 483281. The secretary can answer many questions and can arrange for you to come for a consultation; there is no charge for this service which is usually sufficient to decide if you can be helped.

 

The examination can be carried out at that time or later, usually the following day or soon after, to suit you. If appropriate, the treatment can be started immediately after the examination.

 

Most private medical Insurance Companies, including BUPA and PPP will reimburse our fees, according to your policy. Please enquire.

 

Whether you are just not feeling well or your problem is a bad back, it is more than likely that we can help you. You can only become healthier by enquiring.

PRESS RELEASE - Local Chiropractor wins national quality award

 

Gilbert Méal of the Christchurch Chiropractic Centre was awarded the ‘Patient Partnership Quality Mark’ (PPQM) for the second time on January 20th 2010 by The College of Chiropractors. Gilbert accepted his award at The Royal Society in London from Hew Helps, Chair of the College’s Lay Partnership Group.

 

The PPQM award was launched in 2006 by the College of Chiropractors to recognise excellence in meeting the expectations patients have about their chiropractic care.  It was awarded to the Christchurch Chiropractic Centre for the first time in January 2006.
